Samba wants 'divorce' from Blackburn

Christopher Samba has told Blackburn that wants to secure a move this January after admitting he can no longer give 100 percent for the club.

Steve Kean's relegation-threatened side are two games unbeaten and have taken eight points from a possible 18 in a run of form that has seen them rise from the bottom of the Premier League.

However in the wake of reported interest from Tottenham and QPR, Samba has again asked to leave the club.

"When a couple don't get on they get a divorce, and that's what me and Blackburn have to do," the 27-year-old told The Sun.

"Blackburn need players who are 100 percent for the club, and I'm not."

"The only way to solve this is for them to let me go. It will be very difficult for me to play for this team again."

"I'm at the end of the road here. I'm not going to change so, for their good and mine, they must sell me now."

Samba, who signed a new deal with Blackburn last January, accused owners Venky's of failing to keep promises.

"I signed a new deal last January, because Venky's told me they had big plans," he said. "Names like Ronaldinho were mentioned and they promised there was going to be a lot of investment in the team. It hasn't happened."

"They don't understand football in this country and they don't realise how much I've given to Blackburn and that they have broken promises they have made. I stayed, because I believed them, but they weren't honest with me and now I know I made the wrong decision."

"I share the frustration of the fans who must have believed the owners too."
