Day takes Deutsche Bank lead

Australian Jason Day will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

The 22-year-old sank a birdie putt on the par-five 18th to complete a third-round five-under 66 and move to 17-under overall.

Playing partner Brandt Snedeker, who shared the lead after back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, is a stroke behind.

England's Luke Donald fired a 66 to lie third two strokes behind Day, but there are nine players within five shots of the lead.

Australians Geoff Ogilvy and Adam Scott both shot 65 soar into a share of fifth with South Korean Charlie Wie and world No.2 Phil Mickelson.

Tiger Woods kept his FedEx Cup playoff hopes alive with a 69 to be 10 strokes off the pace.
