Hend in control in Myanmar

Australian Scott Hend has maintained his lead of the Myanmar Open after the third round at the Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club.

Hend carded a three-under 69 on Saturday to take himself to 16-under for the tournament.

The Townsville native didn't record a blemish in round three with birdies at the 4th, 14th and 16th holes enough to give him a one-stroke lead over Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat (15-under).

Hend's countryman Marcus Both is a stroke further back in equal third spot on 14-under along with American Ben Fox and Japan's Tetsuji Hiratsuka.

Kieran Pratt (11-under) is the next-best Australian on equal eighth while Adam Groom and Wade Ormsby are in a tie for 10th spot on minus 10.
