Gram to consider NFL punting career

Former St Kilda star Jason Gram is weighing whether to pursue a career in the US as an NFL punter.

Gram, who was sacked by the Saints last month after he had failed to honour repeated undertakings to the club concerning his personal behavior, is a long time US sport fan and INSIDE FOOTBALL understands that he has undergone a private NFL trial in the past fortnight.

When quizzed as to the possibility of the former Saint following in the footsteps of Darren Bennett, Ben Graham and Sav Rocca, Gram’s manager Tom Petroro said that his client was considering his options.
“He has got a few other things to work through from a personal perspective, but yes he is working through a potential opportunity (as a punter).”

Gram played 154 games and kicked 69 goals with both Brisbane and St Kilda after being drafted by the Lions with the 19th overall selection in the 2001 draft.
