Ablett is staying

Surely Gary Ablett is staying at Geelong.

The news today that he will announce before the finals his future for next season has to mean he's turned his back on the Gold Coast.

Greg Denham's story in 'The Australian' today is the positive news the Cats have been waiting to hear.

Gary Ablett would not disrupt the Cats on the eve of the finals by announcing he's quitting the club.

If he was going, it would be one of the most major distractions that any club had taken into a finals campaign.

I don't believe Ablett would treat his beloved Cats so badly.

He waiting to see how Nathan goes. I think a big part of whether he goes is if he likely to be playing with his brother.

Hey Russell: Based on what facts or sources??? Cause my sources say he will stay at the cats for sure... I am not putting my house on your "100%" speculation!!!

There's no doubt that Gary's alleged indecision has been a distraction to both he and the Cats this year. If he was going to stay he would've nipped it in the bud already, but the fact that he hasn't is the clearest indication that he's leaving. Plus, he's had plenty of time to think about it, there's no way he wouldn't know by now. If I was a journo I'd ask "What critical piece of information or further development are you waiting for to make your decision?"

Typical media hype and bull####. There has been no press conference or comments made from Ablett or his manager, yet all the hype says he is making an announcement??? Start reporting on what is happening and not what may/may not be going on.

I would love Gary to stay, however this is his future income, gone are the days "when its only a game" he would be set for life.
