Can't we work it out?

Peering through the Glass today I see another speed hump on the road to Delhi.

For weeks we have been hearing about the facilities being unfinished and yesterday more health warnings, but it’s been all positive from the athlete front – until now.

John Steffenson says he is going to boycott the Commonwealth Games as a protest against Athletics Australia after enduring four years of discrimination.

He says he wants to expose the “bullying, egotism and outdated approach” at AA and take a stand for the next generation of athletes coming through.

Surely we could sit down in a room and sort this out, surely ahead of one of Australian Athletics’golden hours a result can be achieved for the common good of Athletics in this country.

If that can’t happen, then the Aths team in Delhi’s glass is Harf-empty.

Why should he just grow up. John Steffensen should have the same rights as others who feel bullied in their workplace. He has the guts to stand up not only for himself but also all those athletes who are coming through behind him. He is unable to say exactly what his problems are due to legal reasons so for him to take this stand he should be commended. Good Luck with your fight John
