SEN OPINION
Dons a circus

Ox,

Matthew Knights will have no trouble finding a new job – in a circus sideshow. He’s been working in one for 3 years now!

The former Bombers coach has become an expert in catching knives in his back in the last few years without falling down – It’s been quite a sight to see.

But he finally took one too many last weekend.

You've got to hand it to the Dons. They don’t need a new training ground, they need a big top.

The Bombers promised us a month long review – and instead delivered a summary execution of the coach less that a day after their final match of the season.

They promised Knights another two years as coach when they extended his contract and knifed him just months later.

And to prove there are plenty of clowns running the circus, Knights found out about his sacking through the media – not from the people who hired and then fired him.

The last club to do that was Freo – with Damian Drum. And everyone treated the Dockers with the contempt they deserved for doing so.

And in breaking news Essendon is the new Freo.

Way To Go……

I too am upset at Bomber's lies but he is the one who has to live with it, there is no tking away the fact that in 11 years he helped the Cats win 2 flags, as far as Essendon goes, i will give the supporters 2 years before they start spitting on the coaching staff, they are the worst feral supporters that i have known, they eat there own, you cant change the fact in a hurry that they DO NOT have one good player, they will need to recruit a whole side, stay at the bottom where you belong you under acheivers, GO CATS

HIRDS IS A MAN TO LOOK UP TOO IN THE YOUNG DEVELOPING SIDE ESSENDON F.C. HAS AND THATS ALL A COACH HAS TO BE. WITH DENNIS LAIDLEY or MARK WILLIAMS IN THE COACHES BOX DOING TACTICAL AND HIRD ON THE BENCH MOTIVATING THE YOUTH JUST WITH HIS PRECENCE ITS THE WAY TO GO.

Frances. You are right,it was a circus sideshow, that is - his coaching and game plan. It was a load of handball rubbish, with no defense. Dempsey in the backline, Neagle in the forward line,Prismall in the midfield as slow as an old drafthorse, all out of their depth. He went into his only final with no ruckman, when he had Bellchambers sitting in Bendigo. His coaching career has shown no results anywhere so he is now damaged as a coach.

Very disappointing, Essendon. Fistly, good admins support their staff. Secondly, good admins have belief in their decisions. Allowing the supporters to make or even influence the decisions demonstrates very deep issues at Windy Hill. Thirdly, those supporters who obviously know more about coaching than the footy club, shame, shame, shame!! With the list Essendon has and the injuries during the year, no-one could have achieved finals. The great white hope, Hirdy won't coach and who can blame him? Now is not the time to be coaching the Bombers because we have a few down years to go yet and whoever comes in now will be gone in another 2 years because the admin doesn't have conviction in its decisions and the rabid supporters have no patience. Not willing to build something, just happen! No dice, Dons. I won't be a member again until the Board get some balls.

Stick to commentating on the soccer Frank... Didn't think a one eyed Saints supporter cared so much for (at best) an average coach! Pull your head in!
