Finals start with a bang

Peering through The Glass today I saw a great weekend of finals footy.

Going into it most saw a Cats v Pies Grand Final after the Saints showed their remarkable pressure game is right on song for a tilt. Saints with a week off, the Cats licking their wounds before they get their hands on the Dockers. Speaking of…

Mark Harvey’s decision to freshen his squad paid dividends on Saturday. Far too good for the Hawks, too much run, too much pressure, much better kids and a healthy squad to boot!

The Pies boots might not be laced up straight, but it doesn’t matter! Continued on their merry way with a dominant performance over the hapless Dogs who without Ryan Griffen might not have scored. I’d like to be the Swans…

How good was that game? The Swans great spirit saved them after a stirring comeback from the Blues in the 3rd term, but Juddy goes home empty and Kirky achieves nirvana.

The September Glass is Harf-full.

Yes Harf a great weekend for footy. The Pies destroyed the happless doggies. Granted they have players out and clearly went in with a few under injury clouds. The Saints nailed tha Cats. Cats are getting older and slower. The Swans did it to teh Blues, who were barely lucky to get there in my opinion. Freo did it to the hawks who playe the pies and thought they were it and a bit the week earlier who clearly had nothing to play for. Great start.
