Two football unknowns

Two players, poles apart in their ages are hoping to shape their club's finals ambitions.

James Podsiadly, at 28 years of age, after years of rejection, plays his first final.

He's been the Cats most productive key forward in his first season, with contested marks and goals. He's been rushed back into the Cats line-up after suspension.

Bulldogs midfielder Andrew Hooper is just 19 years of age, without a senior game to his name.

He's become the first player in 25 years to make his senior debut in a final. He's only 172cm tall, but gee wiz, he carries a massive weight on his shoulders.

Football throws up so many unknowns and surprises, and this is just another one.

Two unknowns at the start of the year, taking centre stage under the spotlight of the finals.

Good luck to both players.
