Hawthorn triple premiership player Brian Lake has reportedly been arrested in Japan.
3AW and the Herald Sun reported today that Lake, 36, had been jailed after an altercation while in the country for an AFL tournament.
The Indonesian Volcanoes, Lake’s team in the competition, are working frantically to get him out of the Osaka jail where he is being held, and at worst he could be detained there for 23 days before charges are laid.
It is thought that the 2013 Norm Smith Medallist was arrested after being involved in a scuffle at a bar while celebrating a Volcanoes’ win.
Lake, who has worked at Fox Footy as a caller since retiring in 2015, had just completed filming in Fiji for Channel Ten’s upcoming Australian Survivor reality series.
