Brisbane targeting Neale in bombshell trade news

2018-08-30T11:23+10:00

Brisbane is attempting to lure Fremantle star midfielder Lachie Neale to the club according to SEN Time On host Sam McClure.

Neale signed a three-year deal to stay at the Dockers in 2016.

“Forces are at work at the Brisbane Lions to lure contracted Fremantle star Lachie Neale to Queensland for next year,” McClure told SEN’s Whateley.

“Neale is open to exploring the option, but he is yet to inform Brisbane of that. Now the chances of Lachie Neale being in a Brisbane jumper next year are real.

“The only stepping stone is that he is contracted and the ability of Fremantle to have the power to hold him to that contract.

“Brisbane is open to trading their coveted first-round selection, which is currently pick four.

“The jungle drums in the industry for the last couple of weeks that Brisbane had found someone, a big fish, and Mitch Wallis was talked about and Seb Ross, and they’ve been linked to a few, but he’s the one they’re going hammer and tong for.”

Neale, a South Australian, apparently has an exit meeting scheduled with Ross Lyon soon.

“Neale has an exit meeting with Ross Lyon and the club in the next 48 hours where this will be brought up,” McClure said.

“Fremantle has a desperate fight on their hands to keep him at the club.”
