1116 SEN's new breakfast show Garry, Tim & Hamish is nearly here.

The wait is nearly over! The all-new SEN breakfast show is nearly here.

In December, 1116 SEN announced its brand new 2017 breakfast line up that will feature former AFL player and media personality Garry Lyon, sports broadcaster and commentator Hamish McLachlan, Essendon legend Tim Watson and sports journalist and newshound Sam McClure - starting on January 30.

“Garry, Tim and Hamish” will air from 6am to 9am weekdays and will feature respected journalist Mike Sheahan, Captain of the Western Bulldogs Bob Murphy and esteemed AFL analyst Anthony Hudson all on alternating days.

The collective group have unparalleled experience both on-and-off the sporting arena and with their analytical insights, listeners can expect a fresh sound for breakfast radio in Melbourne that will set the sporting benchmark.

The first show of the all-star line-up will air on Monday 30 January, 2017.

John Bertrand AO, Chairman of 1116 SEN welcomed the new line-up.

“This is a new era for SEN and exciting times are ahead in 2017,” said Bertrand.

“We have assembled the A-Team in Melbourne sporting circles that will further cement 1116 SEN as Melbourne’s Home of Sport.”

Anchoring the show alongside Hamish McLachlan, Garry Lyon said he is ready to sink his teeth into a new challenge.

“Being part of the very first breakfast show on SEN was great and it is a privilege to be back on the 1116 airwaves again,” said Lyon.

“SEN is the home of sport and sport is the fabric of Melbourne. We know sport moves and motivates our audience and we want to provide a platform for them to be informed and entertained and to participate in our shared passion.”

Hamish McLachlan said he is thrilled to be part of the line-up.

“They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your – it is a dream job for me – I feel very lucky,” said McLachlan.

“We are a bit of a motley crew of sorts, but hopefully it’s an eclectic mix that will help people kick start their day with a laugh whilst being fully across what is happening in Australian and International sport.”

Tim Watson welcomes this exciting new chapter for 1116 SEN.

“I have been part of the 1116 SEN family for 11 years and the best thing about the station is that we are constantly evolving and keeping things fresh and entertaining for listeners. You know when you are sitting along Garry, Hamish and Sam there will always be a headline,” said Watson.

Award winning journalist, Sam McClure, will be an integral part of the show to ensure 1116 SEN is at the forefront of breaking news and will join in the banter with boys.

“It is an honour to be working alongside Garry, Hamish and Tim. We will all be keeping each other on our toes to make sure listeners are across anything that is going on in the sporting world,” said McClure.

General Manager of 1116 SEN, Cathy Thomas, said she expects the station to reach even greater heights.

“We have all bases covered for listeners with the new show featuring past and present athletes as well as expert analysts and media commentators,” said Thomas.

“There is a solid mix of personalities with Garry, Hamish, Tim and Sam and all of them have very strong opinions and a goldmine of knowledge which will make for compelling and entertaining listening.”

6:00am-9:00am: Garry, Tim & Hamish with Garry Lyon, Hamish McLachlan, Tim Watson & Sam McClure.
Joined on alternating days by Mike Sheahan, Bob Murphy and Anthony Hudson

9:00am-12:00pm: Hungry for Sport with Kevin Bartlett

12:00pm-3:00pm:SEN Afternoons with Francis Leach

3:00pm-7:00pm: The Run Home with David "The Ox" Schwarz and Mark Allen
