Dunstan set to face the music

2016-12-10T17:32+11:00

St Kilda’s leadership group will meet next week to determine a penalty for Luke Dunstan, after he was fined by police for being intoxicated in a public place.

The 21-year old was found asleep and was subsequently detained for several hours, before being released and fined.

St Kilda GM of Football Performance Jamie Cox said Dunstan was d embarrassed about the incident, and very apologetic.

“Luke notified the club immediately of the situation and is extremely remorseful,” Cox said.

“Luke’s a trusted young man of strong character and we’re disappointed he has not met club expectations on this occasion.

“This serves as a prescient reminder to our playing group of the importance of responsible consumption of alcohol,” Cox said.

The South Australian has played 53 games for the Saints, since making his debut in Round 1 2014, including 18 games in 2016.
