Who would Choco drop for Tiger mid?

2017-06-26T15:03+10:00

Former Richmond assistant coach, Mark Williams, has proposed the changes he would make to the current Tiger line-up.

The 2004 premiership coach believes Richmond still has scope for improvement, despite their eight wins, and it comes from within their midfield group.

“I’d play Anthony Miles 100 percent in front of Dion Prestia and Josh Caddy,” Williams told SEN Afternoons.

“They [Prestia and Caddy] are getting in because they’re highly recruited players. It is a reason for selection at every club, let’s not hide from that fact.

“Miles keeps delivering and it’s time for one of those two to go back and get some form. Miles will come in and perform better than what they are right now.”

Miles has played seven games in the VFL this season, averaging 30 disposals and four tackles per game. The 25-year-old has been a regular in the Tiger squad over the past two seasons, as he played 23 games in 2015 and 19 in 2016. This year, Miles has managed just two senior appearances, as Damien Hardwick’s men continue to fly above expectations.

Prestia was a high-profile acquisition from Gold Coast over the offseason and is recording 22.3 disposals, 65.7 percent disposal efficiency, 3.8 tackles and 3.4 clearances per outing.

Caddy, who was recruited from the Cats, is collecting 18.2 disposals per game, going at 69.4 percent efficiency.
