KB's Take | Who was smart and who was dumb?

2017-07-24T09:35+10:00

There was some silly things done on the weekend in AFL footy.

Greater Western Sydney's Toby Greene let himself and his team mates down with a ridiculous hit on Alex Rance – another bravado action that hurts his club.

Coaches Brendon Bolton and Chris Scott decided that it was too basic to tag Dayne Zorko and Rory Sloane – two players that have a horrendous record when given a minder – resulting in both players being best on ground in their club's wins.

The smartest club on the weekend according to Greg Denham in The Australian today is North Melbourne for tanking and getting away with it.

Denham claims the Kangaroos selected a side this week to be competitive but would have little chance of winning and the Roos are more interested in finishing bottom or close to it to get draft benefits.

After Round 18, Richmond is one of four new clubs in the top eight from last year. Adelaide sits on top but it’s still anyone’s race.

I’m KB, that’s my take.
