Mitch and Jeremy McGovern could find themselves playing their football together in years to come, but not at West Coast according to Anthony Hudson.
Mitch, who starred on the weekend for Adelaide, is out of contract at the end of this season, while Jeremy’s current deal finishes next year with the Eagles.
Hudson told SEN Breakfast that there is a strong lure for the Western Australian brothers to team up at Fremantle.
“It was put to me yesterday that he wants to play that the idea is that he wants to play with his brother at Fremantle and that Jeremy will end up at Fremantle as well…in a couple of years’ time when he (Jeremy) is out of contract,” he said.
Their father, Andrew, played 62 games for the Dockers between 1995-1998 after returning from Sydney to be an inaugural player for the second Western Australian club.
SEN news breaker Sam McClure reported that Mitch McGovern was offered in the realms of $350,000 per season by Adelaide with rival clubs prepared to pay him up to $750,000 a year.
