West Coast kept its finals hopes alive by taking care of Carlton in a tightly contested game at Domain Stadium.

Kicked three goals in the first term and was the dangerous small forward in LeCras’ absence.

Jack DARLING – 5

Booted two goals and made the most of limited chances in the windy conditions.

Liam DUGGAN – 5

Not the dash that he’s been showing in recent weeks. Had 16 disposals.

Andrew GAFF – 6

Had Kerridge following him. Finished with 24 possessions. Not a huge game but handy.

Shannon HURN – 5

Was composed and marshalled the team in defence. Solid game.

Mark HUTCHINGS – 5

Tagged Sam Docherty for a half and did a strong job of keeping him out of the game.

Lewis JETTA – 5

The Eagles needed more of his break away speed. Only 15 touches.

Josh KENNEDY – 9

Booted six goals and was the difference between the teams.

Eric MACKENZIE – 5

Stood firm under a lot of pressure during the third term.

Jeremy MCGOVERN – 8

Marked strongly all night. Stopped plenty of attacks from the Blues.

Prominent with his ball winning and skill. Used the ball well in the windy conditions.

Didn’t have much of the ball in defence but worked hard.

Kicked one goal but only seven disposals and one tackle. Finding his way.

Laid two massive tackles which changed momentum.

His 10 tackles were vital for the Eagles and he won five clearances too. His inside work was strong as usual.

Continued his good recent form to finish with 21 disposals and two goals.

Didn’t see as much of the ball as he’d have liked.

His run from defence was good and it’s exactly what the team needs.

Had a big final term which played a role in the team winning.

Did well in his contest with Kreuzer. Battled hard all night.

Spent time at both ends after being a late inclusion but didn’t do a lot.

Damaging storming from defence. His impact was crucial to the team’s win

Dennis ARMFIELD – 4

Had his hands full with Cripps. The Eagle kicked three early goals.

Blaine BOEKHORST – 6

Kicked an amazing goal from the boundary and let the crowd know.

Levi CASBOULT – 5

His final term goal was superb from a tough angle. Kicked two for the game.

Charlie CURNOW – 6

His workrate was high. Won a lot of contested ball.

Sam DOCHERTY – 6

Tagged by Mark Hutchings in the first half. Got released and had more of a say from there.

Zac FISHER – 5

Some nice moments and kicked a goal.

Kicked a classy goal from the boundary and had 26 disposals. One of the best.

Started well on Kennedy but lost his way and the Eagle kicked six goals.

Good contest with Vardy. Neither man dominated. Kreuzer won more of the ball.
