Wallsy slams “greedy” Crow

2017-09-25T10:59+10:00

Three-time premiership player Robert Walls has whacked Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins, declaring he is a greedy footballer who cheats his way to goals.

Jenkins has kicked 45 majors for the Crows this season, third-most at the club behind Eddie Betts (54) and Taylor Walker (52). However, Walls is of the notion that number misrepresents Jenkins’ impact.

“I don’t like greedy footballers and there is a greedy player playing for the Crows,” he told SEN’s Hungry For Sport.

“He is a big bloke who gets more ‘Joe the Goose's’ over the top into the goal square to him, who has done no hard work himself, and that’s Josh Jenkins. He never ever, ever reciprocates.

“Do you ever see him share a handball to anyone else? Eddie Betts has given him 40 goals this year and the big fella won’t give one to anyone when he gets an opportunity.”

Adelaide has been an offensive powerhouse in 2017, ranking first in the AFL for points scored, goals per inside 50, points from turnovers, points launched from defensive midfield and points launched from attacking midfield.

The Crows bring that forward firepower to the MCG on Saturday, battling Richmond in the Grand Final.
