Saints, Power set for changes: Waldron

2017-12-01T09:50+11:00

St Kilda and Port Adelaide are preparing to endure football department shake-ups, according to Brian Waldron’s Northern Spy.

The former Saints chief delivered the news on SEN’s Hungry For Sport, as familiar names in the list management industry are on the move.

“There are some changes afoot at the Saints,” Waldron said.

“Jason Cripps is going back there and Matt Rendell is going there with him in a recruiting role.”

Cripps is the Port Adelaide list manager, and worked at St Kilda in a number of developmental and assistant coaching roles while Grant Thomas was coach.

Waldron says that Cripps’ replacement has already been found.

“Scott Clayton will end up getting the list management job at Port Adelaide, replacing Cripps,” he said.

Clayton has served as the Gold Coast Suns’ list manager since their inception, but last month the Suns hired Greater Western Sydney list manager Craig Cameron, in a messy poaching situation between the two foundation clubs.

Jason McCartney left the Western Bulldogs as list manager earlier this week, joining the Giants.

Rendell works at Collingwood as a recruiting scout.
