AFLW star Daisy Pearce headlines a list of sport’s biggest names who’ve committed to 1116 SEN’s new era in 2018.
Pearce, alogn with rising media star Kane Cornes, five-time premiership star Dermott Brereton, expert analyst David King, 300-game champions Nick Dal Santo and Robert Murphy, three-time premiership player Terry Wallace and Brownlow medallist Adam Cooney are among those to reach terms with the station and the broader Crocmedia network in the past few days.
Pearce will play a pivotal role with the station. She’ll appear on Gerard Whateley’s new show Whateley, Breakfast with Garry Lyon & Tim Watson and develop her own signature women’s sport show. Pearce will also provide expert analysis on 1116 SEN footy and AFL Nation around the country.
“I’m excited to be part of something that feels transformative, fresh, and contemporary in sports radio,” Pearce said.
“I really admire and respect how Gerard, Garry and Tim go about things so the opportunity to learn from them and to work in an environment where I know I will be challenged to keep developing with the support of some of the best names in sport was a huge draw card.”
Crocmedia chief executive and Pacific Star Network managing director elect Craig Hutchison said the business was rapt to finalise the bulk of its key appointments.
