Watson and Lyon’s 10 most marketable AFL players

Former AFL captains Tim Watson and Garry Lyon have named their top 10 most marketable players in the AFL today.

Off the back of a report in The Australian saying the NRL has earmarked a list of players to pay outside the salary cap to help promote the game.

Parramatta Eels star Jarryd Hayne has been omitted from the list, showing the league’s commitment to ensuring the ambassadors for growing the game has clean on and off field images.

Based on that criteria, Watson and Lyon have named the AFL players they would pay outside the salary cap to market and promote the game on SEN Breakfast.
