West Coast's Jeremy McGovern has been offered a gigantic financial deal to come to a Victorian club.
According to SEN newsman Sam Edmund, the dual All-Australian has been thrown a bucketload of cash to lure him away from his home state.
"West Coast could have a real fight on its hands to retain restricted free agent Jeremy McGovern," he told SEN Breakfast.
"We have learnt overnight that one Melbourne based club has tabled a six-year offer worth nearly 1.2 million dollars a season. That is confirmed by the people who would know.
"That is more than seven-million across the six-year contract. That is Dustin Martin territory.
"He is a dual All-Australian, has the stickiest mitts in the business and was the leading contested marker over each of the last two seasons.
"He is a WA lad, and there has been reports the Eagles have floated a five-year deal worth four-million."
McGovern played every game last season as the central figure of West Coast's defence, while also kicking 10 goals during Josh Kennedy's absence, showcasing his versatility.
