Hampden Football League 2018 season preview

In the lead-up to the 2018 local footy league seasons, SEN will be dissecting a number of competitions. Today, we take a look at the Hampden Football League.

Super signings: Jordie McKenzie, Colin Garland, Nick Couch, Joel Moloney, Stephen Staunton (Terang Mortlake), Matthew Pitt (Port Fairy), Daniel Watson (Cobden), Tim Brown (South Warrnambool), Allan Martin, Dylan Long (Hamilton Kangaroos), Luke Cody (Warrnambool).

Coaching merry-go-round: Dan Nicholson (Port Fairy), Matt O’Brien (Warrnambool).

League Insider says:

Premier: Koroit.

Watch out for: The restocked Terang Mortlake to make a rapid transformation from also-ran to legitimate contender.

SEN says:

Premier: Cobden.

Watch out for: Hamilton Kangaroos to climb off the bottom of the ladder by virtue of a hefty recruiting drive.
