Wallace: Collingwood WILL make the 8 and Geelong WON'T

2018-04-12T13:13+10:00

Former Richmond coach Terry Wallace has made a big call, suggesting Collingwood will make the eight ahead of Geelong.

Both teams currently sit with one win and two losses and Wallace believes the Pies have a few more things working for them than the Cats.

“I know I’m sitting on the fence here, but I would have one of the Western Bulldogs, Collingwood or Geelong filling the eighth spot,” Wallace told SEN Afternoons.

“Only one of the three and I will go Collingwood.

“I think if they can stop getting hamstring injuries, they could still get around that mark.

“I do say that (the Pies) have a very, very kind draw.”

Wallace had Collingwood 10th in the pre-season and Geelong fifth, but is losing confidence in the Cats.

“Geelong I’m worried about, I had them at five (in the pre-season), obviously they’re fairly banged up at the moment,” the former Bulldogs coach said.

“I’m very worried about the Cats.”

Collingwood will face a big test this week against Adelaide in South Australia on Friday night, while the Cats will host St Kilda in Geelong on Sunday afternoon.
