Port Adelaide defender Tom Jonas says Sam Powell-Pepper is in good spirits, despite being the source of an ongoing AFL investigation.
Powell-Pepper’s involvement in an alcohol-impacted incident at an Adelaide nightclub yielded a one-week suspension from the Power, which was served last week.
However, with a separate AFL investigation yet to be completed, Powell-Pepper has ruled himself out of action again this week, but Jonas says the 20-year-old is still displaying a positive attitude around the club.
“He is in pretty good spirits,” Jonas told SEN Mornings.
“He is obviously very disappointed in himself but he has been bouncing around the club and really lighting up the training track.
“He will be eager to get back out there once all this is cleared up.
“It’s just disappointing it is taking longer than he first thought.”
Jonas also added it will be nice to “make amends” against Geelong on Saturday night, after losing to them by just two-points last season.
