A blistering start and a 57-point half-time lead has propelled North Melbourne to a massive win over Hawthorn.
The Hawks came hunting in the second half, but had too much work to do and the Roos held on to win by 28 points.

The Talking Point: Is North Melbourne the real deal?
North Melbourne's first half was as dominant as any performance this year. The Hawks charged back at them, but the damage had already been done and after a few strong performances, is it time to start thinking the Kangaroos could be a big player this season.
Many predicted them to finish bottom four, but they've now won three games this season and have held their own against good teams.
North will face Port Adelaide, Sydney, Richmond and Greater Western Sydney over the next month and so we'll have a much better idea of whether they'll be a factor this year in four weeks time.
If Hawthorn wins, it will be the biggest halftime comeback in history (St Kilda v Collingwood 1970, 52-points) #AFLNorthHawks

The Star: Ben Brown
When the game was on the line in the first quarter, it was Ben Brown who rose above the rest.
He kicked three goals and had James Frawley and James Sicily spinning and searching for answers.
The four goal effort puts him on top of the Coleman Medal race and the argument could be made that he is the best forward in the game.
Walls: Hawthorn dropped their heads in the first half
Former Carlton premiership player Robert Walls believes Hawthorn stop trying in the first half when North Melbourne got on top of them.
North had 20 scoring shots to three in the first half and should've been further in front than they were and Walls wasn't happy with Hawthorn's effort.
Wallsy: It looks like the Hawks have lost a bit of interest here. #AFLNorthHawks
