Sydney stars Lance Franklin and Dan Hannebery will miss this Saturday’s clash with Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.
Swans coach John Longmire confirmed the news this morning, saying Franklin’s injury has been a lingering one.
“Lance won't play on Saturday,” he said.
“He hasn’t been able to do any significant training since the Round 1 game against West Coast.
“He hasn’t responded after giving him time off and it got worse on the weekend so he won’t be playing this week.
“We don’t know at this stage how he will respond to that.”
Franklin is battling a bruised heel, while Hannebery has a groin issue.
