Sydney footy boss provides Moore update

2018-05-18T09:34+10:00

Sydney footy boss Tom Harley has remained tight lipped about the club's rumoured interest in Collingwood forward Darcy Moore.

The Swans interest in the out-of-contract Pie was reported on The Footy Show last week, which was then backed up by Moore’s manager Liam Pickering, suggesting there were a number of clubs keen on the 22-year-old – including Sydney.

Harley says it’s only natural for out-of-contract players to be courted by other clubs.

“Like what Liam (Pickering) said and it’s going on at the moment across the competition, when players are out of contract and you meet with managers, that’s your job as a list manager of a head of footy,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“There would have to be a hell of a lot of water to go under the bridge.

“I know Pickers well personally and as you said, we’d ask the question and that’s probably about it at this stage.

“I wouldn’t be holding your breath about that one.”

The Age chief football writer Jake Niall has reported Collingwod has offered Moore a new two-year deal.

It’s been an injury interrupted season for the talented key position prospect, having been sidelined since Round 2 due to a hamstring ailment.
