Dual premiership player David King has flagged concerns over Fremantle’s over-reliance on towering ruckman Aaron Sandilands.
Sandilands left the ground in the final quarter of the Dockers’ loss to North Melbourne yesterday, with the side trailing by just three-points when he departed.
However, Sandilands’ absence made a tangible impact on the result, with Freo eventually losing by 28-points, something that worried King.
“He (Sandilands) is a 35-year-old, and I know he is a dominant tap ruckman, but they fell apart,” he told SEN’s Whateley.
“I thought, where does that leave them? I know Sean Darcy their next ruckman is still injured and is making his way back, but I didn’t expect Fremantle to fall apart the way they did.
“It's a concern for Fremantle. Nat Fyfe is the superstar, but you can’t be relaying on Sandilands at 35 years of age.”
It remains unknown how long Sandilands will miss with a concussion.
