Australian basketball legend Chris Anstey says the Cleveland Cavaliers played like a “broken” team in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
The Cavs fell to Golden State 122-103 today, with the Warriors taking a 2-0 series lead, and Anstey says it was a reality check for Cleveland.
“We were reminded this is Steph Curry’s team, not Kevin Durant’s, and the highlights and consistency over the course of the game he showed was incredible,” he told SEN Afternoons.
“The fact that coach Ty Lue had to say their team wasn’t broken after that Game 1 debacle, probably tells us that they actually are.
“They played a little bit like they were.”
Game 3 of the NBA Finals will take place on Thursday at 11:00am AEDT at Quicken Loans Arena.
