Oliver Florent is a handy footballer, but he’s also a capable emergency hairdresser.
Before Friday night’s encounter against Carlton, the 19-year-old revealed he was entrusted with fixing housemate Ben Ronke’s hair after his appointment at the hairdressers didn’t go to plan.
The talented midfielder played a major part in the striking hairdo Ronke was sporting at the SCG.
“I fixed it up for him,” Florent told SEN’s Time On.
“He went to the hairdressers but then came back and tried to make me touch it up a bit.
"I walked past the bathroom and there he was trying to fix his haircut.
"There was no-one else to fix it apart from my other housemate who was a hire a haircut too.
“You should have seen before we went out: he was upstairs trying to get the masseuse to get it up before we ran out.
“It went horribly wrong.”
Florent won the Round 11 nomination for the NAB Rising Star award after collection 20 disposals against the Blues.
