Don’t think Twitter is useless.
While many often criticise the social media juggernaut, it can be a powerful tool – especially when trying to get players off at the AFL Tribunal.
As North Melbourne were preparing their case to try and get Jy Simpkin off his two-match ban for bumping Allen Christensen, @giantroo on Twitter decided to give his take on the incident.
The fanatical Kangaroos fan posted the following Tweet, with screen grabs of the incident.

It led to the club actually using this evidence in their defence, which eventually saw Simpkin escape his ban.
