Carlton stars pledge their futures to the club

2018-06-13T17:41+10:00

SEN news breaker Sam McClure has revealed that Carlton stars Patrick Cripps and Charlie Curnow have agreed to new contracts to remain at the Blues.

Cripps has agreed to a two-year extension, while Curnow will remain a Blue for a further four years.

Both players were to be out of contract at the end of next season.

“Carlton have locked in their two best players in Patrick Cripps and Charlie Curnow on deals that will take them up to the start of their free agency,” McClure told SEN’s KB and The Doc.

“Both were contracted until the end of next year, Cripps has added an extra two years and Charlie Curnow an extra four.

“The contracts haven’t actually been signed, but both players have told the club that they have agreed to those terms and they will figure out dollars and cents and all that sort of stuff.

“It is a significant day for Carlton because they really couldn’t take this build to the next step if they were to lose one of those players.”
