It was a day of upsets at the FIFA World Cup as two of the competition favourites fell short in their opening matches.
Here’s a wrap up of all the overnight World Cup action!
Group F
Germany: 0
Mexico: 1 (Lozano 35')
Mexico’s victory over Germany sent – literal – shockwaves through Mexico City as seismic activity was registered around the time of Lozano’s 35th minute goal.
Their upset over one of the competition favourites clearly had a massive impact back home as you can see below.
Germany will now take on Sweden in a situation where a win might be necessary for them to advance. Mexico has a chance to solidfy this performance against South Korea.

Group E
Costa Rica: 0
Serbia: 1 (Kolarov 56')
Aleksander Kolarov struck home a fantastic free kick in the 56th minute to break the deadlock and put the Serbian side ahead.
Both teams created several goal scoring opportunities, but Costa Rica lacked a little bit of touch and wasn't able to make the most of them.
Serbia is fancied to get through to the next stage, but will likely need at least a draw against Switzerland to do so. Costa Rica meanwhile face the daunting task of taking on Brazil.
The most perfect freekick by the Serbian captain.

Group E
Brazil: 1 (Coutinho 20')
Switzerland: 1 (Zuber 50')
Things seemed to be going on track for the Brazillians after Phillipe Coutinho scored in the 20th minute.
Steven Zuber's 50th minute sealer for the Swiss sent things off the rails however, leaving another one of the competition favourites on the back foot.
It is the first time in World Cup history none of Germany, Brazil or Argentina have won their opening games.

Match previews:
Group F: Sweden versus South Korea (10pm tonight)
Sweden has a chance to make Group F very interesting if they can defeat South Korea tonight.
The win would put them ahead of Germany in the group and force one of the competition favourites to play from behind.
Prediction: Sweden 1 - 0 South Korea
Group G: Belgium versus Panama (1am this morning)
This is tipped to be one of the more one-sided contests of the World Cup, however these opening few days show anything is possible.
Belgium is tipped to go a long way in this tournament and should be too strong for Panama.
Prediction: Belgium 3 - Panama 0
Group G: England versus Tunisia (4am this morning)
The English kick off their World Cup campaign against one of the tournament outsiders Tunisia.
There's general pessimism about how England will go this time around, but they should still comfortably get through their group.
Prediction: England 2 - Tunisia 0
