I can’t see where Blues are going says Pearce

2018-06-19T11:17+10:00

AFLW star Daisy Pearce says she can’t see Carlton’s plan, as the side languishes at the bottom of the ladder.

The Blues struggled mightily in the first half of the weekend’s loss to Fremantle, failing to kick a goal and entering half time 70-points down at home.

According to Pearce, it created multiple danger signs for Brendon Bolton’s men.

“It was a lack of almost, care, in a lot of passages that I can remember, which is a worry from the playing point of view,” she told SEN’s Whateley.

“The thing that I walk away most worried about is you can’t see where they’re trying to head with their plan.

“For a long time they were ultra defensive and they were hard to play against and they didn’t kick a winning score but they contained teams and made life hard.

“Then they jumped into absolute offense, which is seemingly what they tried to do in the early stages of Saturday’s game, they were very aggressive in the way they tried to play and didn’t really have the skills there to execute it.”

The Blues will look to turn their fortunes around against old rival Collingwood this Sunday at the MCG, and you can listen to the game live on 1116 SEN from 12:00pm AEDT.
