Mark Bosnich believes a slight alteration in personnel will benefit Australia tomorrow night.
The Socceroos face Denmark in a must-win Group C clash at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia following on from their narrow 2-1 loss to France on Saturday.
In order to claim a desired result against the Danes, 17-time international Bosnich has implored manager Bert van Marwijk to include the country’s all-time scorer Tim Cahill.
“I’d say to him (Cahill), ‘I’m not going to start with you but you are going play a major part tonight’,” Bozza said on SEN Afternoons.
“In my opinion, if you start him, he’s in great condition for his age but he’s only played 65 minutes in the last 10 games or so in the Championship (with Millwall).
“To play a full game, he’s not in that condition.
“Whether you start him and play him (for) the first bit or you bring him on with half an hour to go, I think he needs to play some type of part.
“I think basically he will play some part in this game.”
The former Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea gloveman also feels the time is right to unleash 19-year-old Daniel Arzani from kick-off.
“I would start with Daniel Arzani,” he added.
“The other day, Robbie Kruse put in a good shift defensively but from an attacking point of view offered us nothing.
“Daniel Arzani is a player who offers something completely different that we haven’t got.
“He’s a player that we aspire to produce all the time and somebody that we are going to enjoy watching for a very long time.
“I would start him.”

Bosnich also touched on the unenviable task of trying to fit five players into Australia’s three-man midfield.
Asked if the Socceroos can successfully operate with captain Mile Jedinak and Premier League star Aaron Mooy in the same midfield, Bosnich said: “Yes we can.
“I wasn’t convinced that we could play Mooy and (Tom) Rogic together but I’m slowly getting convinced of that fact.
“Mile was very steady the other day and we do need to have an anchor if we are to go a little bit more forward in midfield.
“He’s convinced me he’s the right person for this job for the time being, put it that way.
“Decisions have got to be made. Mooy will play, definitely. Who will be that third man?
“Will we stick with Rogic or will we bring (Massimo) Luongo in or Jackson Irvine?
“That’s another decision that the manager will have to make.”
The Socceroos meet Denmark in Samara on Thursday night. Kick-off is at 10pm AEST.
