Featuring Peter Moody, Sam Hyland and David Taggart, The Early Jump podcast gets out of the barriers hot on the heels of the fields being released and puts the major weekend races under the microscope.
Ticking all the boxes this weekend is Champagne Cuddles who runs around in the Group 1 Sky Racing Tatt’s Club Tiara at Doomben.
“I think she’s a superstar. She’s going to have a sweet run,” Hyland said of the Bjorn Baker-trained three-year-old filly.
“She will be saluting on Saturday for sure!”
Group 1-winning jockey Taggart said of his Best Bet, which runs at Randwick: “I’m sticking with the (Chris) Waller import Solo Mission.
“I think he’s lengths on them and will be the best of the day.”
While Moody had some vested ownership interest in his Best Bet, which runs at Doomben.
“Nothing improves them like ownership – race 7, horse 2 – Ulmann. I’m sticking fat, money where my mouth is,” said the former leading trainer.
