If you could choose between Bob Murphy and Clay Smith’s careers, whose would you choose?
It may seem obvious at first, but the deeper you look, the more interesting it becomes.
Smith only played 55 games, but was a key part of the Bulldogs’ 2016 premiership and had a fantastic finals series in the lead up.
Murphy played 312 games, captained his club and had a famed career, but missed out on the premiership success because of injury.
The question was put to Bob Murphy on SEN Afternoons.
“The only way I can answer this, because there is no definitive way,” he said.
“I think the answer is both of us look longingly at the other.
“People will say that’s sitting on the fence, but I think that’s the honest truth.
“I think both of us look at each other and think, yeah, that would be nice.”
What would your answer be?
