West Coast star Nic Naitanui will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during the Eagles’ win over Collingwood.
Naitanui left the field during the second quarter of Sunday's match after landing awkwardly on his right knee with immediate fears he had suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury.
Scans have confirmed that the West Coast ruckman will required a full knee reconstruction after only just returning from an ACL injury he suffered in his left knee in 2016.
It’s a cruel blow for both the 28-year-old and West Coast’s premiership aspirations.
The Eagles confirmed the bad news this evening and will provide further information on Tuesday.
Scans have confirmed our worst fears. @NicNat has torn his ACL.
