“That result was embarrassing for North"

Former Richmond coach Danny Frawley has slammed North Melbourne for their effort during their 66-point loss to Collingwood on Saturday afternoon.

The Roos were belted from start to finish by the Pies and Frawley believes North didn’t bring the tackling pressure required to be competitive.

“They can get smashed with possession count and contested ball, but tackling, that had to be their forte yesterday to actually have any chance because on the outside Collingwood was always going to beat them with their speed,” he told the AFL Nation pregame show.

“That result was embarrassing for North.

“They had a mare yesterday in the hardness stakes.

“They actually got smashed in the tackling and Brad Scott would be filthy.”

North Melbourne lost the tackle count 83-47.

Frawley believes the Roos should’ve made more of their advantage up forward, in a similar fashion to what West Coast did to Collingwood last week.

“You look at North’s forward half and think, gee No Lynden Dunn and no Darcy Moore, we’re right in this game,” he said.
