With injury woes behind them for now, GWS is looming.
Their victory over the Power at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon puts them back in the top four race and with Jeremy Cameron, Tom Scully and Zac Williams all in the mix to return in the next month, they’re just getting stronger.
Former Essendon captain Tim Watson believes they could be the second best team in the competition.
“They should be, outside Richmond, they should be as close to the top as anyone else,” he told SEN Breakfast.
“Port Adelaide out-played them for chunks of that game, at home, and they were able to just stabilise themselves and battle against the odds and stop Port Adelaide from scoring.
“People have said over the last few years they just play on talent, there’s something more stable and more solid about the way they play, that was a great win against Port Adelaide.
“There’s some really good signs about the way they’re playing right now.”
The Giants will host St Kilda at Spotless Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
