Dayne Beams’ manager, Paul Connors, has provided an update on the Brisbane midfielder’s contract situation.
Numerous rumours have circled this season, suggesting Beams could return to Melbourne, but Connors has remained coy on his client’s future.
“He went through such a heartbreaking situation this year with his father and I think just because he has pulled out as the captain, his footy has blossomed,” Connors told SEN Breakfast.
“Talking to Greg Swann, he is in a really good place and engaged and playing great footy.
“I try to not to have conversations with the players too much about this.
“In time I will but I hope he plays and I’m sure he will at this stage.”
Beams is averaging 28.3 disposals per game this season.
