Nathan Brown sanction handed down by MRO

2018-08-11T14:37+10:00

Nathan Brown has been referred directly to the tribunal for his bump on Essendon’s Adam Saad.

Saad was carried from the ground on a stretcher after the hit, which AFL Nation expert Garry Lyon deemed a “weak act”.

Gerard Whateley and David King had their say on the incident earlier in the day, agreeing Brown had to be sent to the tribunal.

Brown’s bump has been deemed as an intentional hit, which allows the case to be sent to the tribunal.

Had it been graded as careless, the defender would’ve received a two-week suspension.

Now, he’s looking at three as a minimum.

Cale Hooker received a $1500 fine for misconduct on Dan McKenzie as well.
