Are the Kangaroos about to raid Port Adelaide's list?

2018-08-14T17:55+10:00

North Melbourne look likely to swoop on two Port Adelaide players, with an offer reportedly going out to rebounding defender Jared Polec and now, apparently, their sights are also set on Joe Atley.

Atley, 20, is the younger brother of North Melbourne’s Shaun, as it appears the Roos are trying to organise a family reunion.

With the speedy Shaun contributing to North Melbourne’s solid season, the Kangaroos may well be trying to lure Joe across, according to reports from AFL.com.au.

The younger Atley has only managed 3 games for Port Adelaide, but is rated as a quality inside mid with good kicking skills and would add to the crop of skilled youngsters at North Melbourne.

Polec, 25, has enjoyed a strong season showing plenty of dash and dare for Port Adelaide. 1116 SEN’s Sam McClure has reported that a significant offer has been extended to Polec from the Roos.

With a considerably talented core group that includes Paddy Ryder, Robbie Gray, Steven Motlop, Charlie Dixon, Jack Watts, Travis Boak, Ollie Wines and Chad Wingard, Port may find it hard to keep everyone happy in terms of remuneration.

The Roos may well be set to add polish and youth to an already impressive squad.
