St Kilda captain, Jarryn Geary, doesn’t think the club need the assistance of a potential priority pick.
The Saints have had a season to forget, winning just four and a half games and currently occupying 15th spot on the ladder.
There has been talk of the AFL stepping in and offering the struggling club a priority pick, but Geary says that isn’t necessary.
"I wouldn’t have thought we would be in a position to ask for one of them (a priority pick)," Geary told SEN's Time On.
"I think our last two years prior to this year we have won more games than we have lost.
"Obviously this year has been very disappointing but I think we wouldn’t be going down that path.
"We’re pretty comfortable with the majority of our list, obviously we would like to add some players through the National Draft and potentially through the trade and free agency period, which has been well documented.
"I don’t think we will be going down that path."
Geary and the Saints take on Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
