North Melbourne great Brent Harvey has explained why Andrew Gaff’s potential move to the Kangaroos would be a significant acquisition for his former club.
REPORT: GAFF TOSSING UP NORTH OFFER
“I really rate Andrew Gaff, I think he is an outside player, I think he is a really good player and something that North lacks,” Harvey told SEN Afternoons.
“A good kicker, someone that can break the line, someone who can get a lot of the football and (someone who is) a little bit more outside.
“We have got Ben Cunnington, Jack Ziebell, Jed Anderson, these types of guys that can go inside and get the job done.
“What we are lacking is an Andrew Gaff type. I think it would be huge for our football club.”
Gaff’s 2018 campaign is over, as he is currently serving an eight-game ban for punching Fremantle’s Andrew Brayshaw.
Gaff averaged a career-high 30.7 disposals per game this season.
