Twomey highlights the point of difference in 2018 AFL draft

2018-08-22T11:00+10:00

Future Stars co-host Callum Twomey has highlighted the point of difference in this year’s AFL draft.

While it isn’t likely to live up to the ‘super draft’ tag that has been thrown around, AFL.com.au draft guru Twomey thinks the slew of tall talent available at the top of the board will create a new sense of excitement.

“I think the point of difference around the top group in this year’s draft is the talls available,” Twomey told SEN’s Whateley.

“Jack Lukosius is there, Ben King has come on as a forward this year in the absence of his brother Max, who has gone down with an ACL injury.

“I think the fact there are three big talls right at the top of board makes it a little bit different and a little bit more exciting.

“I don’t think it’s a really, really, really special standout top 10.

“I wouldn’t say this draft has lived up to some of the hype it got for the last 12 months.

“It’s been talked about as a super draft, I don’t think it is that.

“I think most clubs are in opposition to the view that it is a super draft.”
