Tim Watson has dropped a bombshell, suggesting he believes former Brisbane captain Dayne Beams desires a trade back to Collingwood.
Beams has been linked to a move home to Victoria, with Essendon one of the clubs mentioned, but Watson is hearing differently.
“I still think Dayne Beams is on the move,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.
“I’m hearing possibly Collingwood. He would like to go back to Collingwood. Whether they can get that deal done, I don’t know, but that’s what I’m hearing.”
Another key midfielder in the trade winds is GWS’ Dylan Shiel.
Watson believes a surprise frontrunner has emerged for his services.
“I think there’s a strong likelihood he will move too this year and Essendon has been mentioned, I don’t think they’re the frontrunner, Carlton is in the mix, but I don’t think they’re the frontrunner either," said Watson.
“I think it’s Hawthorn (who are frontrunners).”
