Former Docker one of four Gold Coast delistings

Gold Coast have the confirmed the delisting of four players, including midfielder Michael Barlow.

Barlow joined the Suns from Fremantle at the end of 2016 but registered just three games this season after falling out of favour since the arrival of coach Stuart Dew.

The 30-year-old collected 35 disposals in his final game for the club against Geelong on Saturday.

Rookie listed players Josh Jaska, Max Spencer and Mackenzie Willis have also been let go by the Suns.

The Suns released the following statement via their official club website:

The Gold Coast SUNS can confirm four players have been advised that their contracts will not be renewed.

Senior listed player Michael Barlow and rookie listed players, Josh Jaska, Max Spencer and Mackenzie Willis were each informed of the club’s decision not to extend their contracts during their individual review meetings.

General Manager – Football Operations, Jon Haines thanked the players for their commitment to the club.

"On behalf of the Gold Coast SUNS, I want to thank the players for their commitment and contribution to the football club,” Haines said.

"We wish them every success and all the best for the future."

The GC SUNS have until Wednesday October 31 to lodge their initial 2019 playing list to the AFL.
