Herald Sun journalist Sam Edmund has picked up on an interesting little piece of trade news from Instagram.
With rampant speculation surrounding players and where they’re going to move, it’s interesting to see who starts following who at this time of the year and Edmund has picked up on a couple of key social media 'follows'.
“Sometimes it’s the little things with player movement,” Edmund said.
“Now Lachie Neale’s linked heavily to Brisbane and the Lions are after him and he’s apparently open to the idea.
“Now in the world of Instagram, which all the players are on, whoever they’re following is in order of relevance.
“So whoever they’ve followed most recently is at the top. So Lachie Neale’s just started following Eric Hipwood and Dayne Beams.
“Then you go over and see someone like Mitch McGovern who’s a big player on Instagram as well and he’s linked to Carlton.
“He’s started following Paddy Cripps, Marc Murphy and Charlie Curnow so let’s just watch this space here.”
